JAMIE SCHMIDT

WOMENS? CAMPAIGN 1

The SS26 capsule collection by Jamie Schmidt, titled WOMENS? CAMPAIGN 1, explores the intersection of masculine tailoring and feminine idealism. Captured by Hannah Villanueva, the shoot helps showcase the raw authenticity of the garments.
Studio lights and wrinkled backdrops are paired with a garments visible seams as key elements of the narrative rather than imperfections to be concealed. Structured wool and cashmere blends meet fluid crepes and chiffons, challenging traditional perceptions of gendered dressing.
Exposed logos, pressed wrinkles, and highlighted textures serve as intentional design statements, emphasizing the very nature of fashion presentation—the model, the garment, the pose, the photographer. Inspired by the craftsmanship of sewing itself, Schmidt celebrates the beauty found in process: a seam pressed open, a zipper meticulously installed.
This collection is an homage to those moments, presented through an unapologetic, “no-frills” approach that asserts one simple truth women’s clothing can be direct, and still profoundly beautiful.
